Spinal decompression
OUR PHYSIOTHERAPY APPLICATIONS
Spinal decompression
Spinal decompression, also known as SpineMed therapy, is a new and non-invasive method for the treatment of disc diseases in the cervical and lumbar spine. These include herniated discs, lumbago, sciatica, lower back pain, neck pain, and injured or damaged intervertebral discs.
Spinal decompression therapy is used to relieve damaged or worn intervertebral discs of a specific spinal column segment through defined and computer-controlled tensile stress and to loosen them (decompression) and realign them (repositioning). This transaction in the spine relieves pressure on the intervertebral discs, thereby facilitating the transport of fluids, nutrients and oxygen within the intervertebral disc tissue, thus allowing the intervertebral disc to recover.
This delimbing of the intervertebral joints leads to pain relief as the nerve roots are relieved.
