Cryotherapy is based on the creation of differences in temperature between the human body and its environment and involves the use of freezing or near-freezing temperatures. As part of the Cryotherapy, CoolSculpting (cryolipolysis) is a special procedure to remove areas of body fat by “freezing” them.
Essentially, CoolSculpting is a non-surgical procedure for fat reduction and body contouring and thus a safe and less invasive alternative to liposuction.

Fat cells are more sensitive to low temperatures than skin, which means the cold applied through special devices placed over the skin of the targeted body fat areas will not damage the surrounding tissue, but freeze the fat cells. Thus, a wide range of body areas can be effectively treated. The treatment is commonly performed for fat reduction in the abdomen, thighs, buttocks, hips, wait, upper arms, chin and neck. CoolSculpting results in effective fat reduction when used for localized, hard-to-lose deposits of “stubborn” fat, so called adiposities.
